Black Lives Matter March - June 19 2020
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic making waves through not only the country but the world at large, on June 19, 2020, the Black Lives Matter Movement came to Vancouver, B.C., Canada. As a reaction to the death of George Floyd, and the larger issues that the BLM movement are trying to address, this outpouring of support found it’s legs within the form of a march, winding it’s way from downtown to Sunset Beach. On the beautiful shores of the Pacific Ocean, with the Burrard Street bridge as a backdrop, organizers took to the stage to present a collection of representatives brought in to educate and inform supporters. Speakers presented their points of view, while artists and musicians performed their works of expressions.
Many came to listen, while others came to share.
